Test principle:
This kit detects the RNA of SARS-CoV-2 using an isothermal amplification method. The reverse transcription and mplification of RNA are performed in the same tube. The nucleic acid sequence of SARS-CoV-2 is specifically identified by six primers, and any primer mismatch or unpaired will not complete the amplification. All the reagents and enzymes required for the reaction are pre-loaded. Simple process is needed and the result can be derived by observation on the presence or not of fluorescence.
Open the Aluminum foil bag and take out the reaction tubes. Attention, the reaction tube must be used within 2 hours once its foil pouch is opened.
Plug in the power. The instrument starts heating (The heating indicator turns red and flashes). After the heating process, the heating indicator turns green with a beep.
Sample collection:
Tilt the patient’s head back about 70°, Let the patient’s head relax naturally , and slowly rotate the swab against the wall of the ostril into the patient’s nostril to the nasal palate, and then slowly remove it while wiping.
Positive result: if the reaction tube has obvious green fluorescence excitation, the result is positive. The patient is suspected of being infected with Sars-Cov-2. Immediately contact doctor or local health department and follow local guidelines.
Negative result: if the reaction tube doesn’t have obvious green fluorescence excitation, the result is negative.Continue to adhere to all applicable rules regarding contact with others and protective measures. There may also be the infection when tested negative.
Invalid result: if the incubation time is longer than 20 min, non-specific amplification may occur, leading to a false positive. It will be invalid regardless of if there is obvious green fluorescence, and the test shall be conducted again.
